@HauntedPizza Because you know who Kuro is and you're not her childhood friend who is in love. She is just a teenager who had the one she care about getting "stolen" away, at least for her point of view. She just don't think rationally, for her Kuro is a bad person and she need to save her friend. She think she did the right thing. Of course it's nor really the right thing to do but honestly, did anyone in the manga have done anything right ? Everyone is a mess of a person and poiting only one out is stupid.

Also does she really care for her friend? Or does she just want to monopolize her friend for her own selfish reasons?

Can't both of the reasons can work at the same time ? And well even if it's the second option, it will be hypocrit to call her off being selfish when the two others characters are also selfish.

Edit : Gosh, people really need to think about it with the whole picture and don't get focus on only one part. She is young and she is in love, of course she doesn't gonna think about the thing rationally.

I may be a terrible friend, but in a shady situation like this, “better safe than sorry” is the right thing to do.
Instead is like you wouldn’t mind a friend having long-term problems just to preserve their privacy.
What’s more important, privacy or a friend’s well being?

Also, if she was so manipulative like you say, she could always do something like this (spying on her phone) in class or in another moment. Heck, she could even do it if MC would leave her window open, maybe (I don’t remember if their windows are near enough to cross the space between houses safely).
Instead, she decides to act NOW because MC did too much changes on her behaviour in a short period of time. And this is often a bad signal.

They should talk about it instead? That’s right. But guess what, instead of talking and confronting with her only friend (“it’s safe? It’s ok?” ecc), MC decided to leap in and literally throw herself at a manipulative bitch. Now who is the one that should talk to the other?

I think you should have already known that this is the same as Kuzu no Honkai.
Everyone is a mess of a person trying to find the right thing for themselves.

Since the title isn't translated, it actually translates "To finds a clear solution for the Relationship."

Just like Kuzu no Honkai, it was never an everyone cup of tea, the story isn't bad. Everyone is a mess and an irrational person.
Yet it's there and quite popular following the characters story to find a way to clear themselves from their own problems.
People dislike KnH mainly because the NTR thing and self denials.

@Xaelath so far you cant guarantee jack unless you read ahead or know the author. This story can still go either way , so dont try to spoil things with your anmectodal irrelevant "guarantees"

But yeah how you interpret a shitshow is highly subjective , so while I think this story is great , relatable and nothing serious happened so far means jack to other readers :,)

Shitshow context here isn't as a "shit manga".

It's a similar term I use when people came to read Kodama Naoko manga knowing Kodama was always into NTR but they still insisted to read the "Shitshow". Which means it'll be the same all along.
Likewise, my "Soft suggestion" instead of using terms of shitshow should look like

"Refrain yourself to read further if you disliked this kind of story(aka the shitshow I mentioned above) instead of keep reading it and complaining unless the person appears to be a Masochist".

I also mentioned how people hated Kuzu no Honkai although there's nothing wrong at all with the story, it's just the people dislike the idea of people being in denial and NTRing. (Similar topic were brought from the MAL)

and no before you assume I am going to spoil anything, I haven't spoil a thing here.
This manga raw also taken from Spanish translation, which is kinda weird considering there's a raw from /u/ Yurihime monthly

@Xaelath Im not offended and you have a point there. People tend to react over emotionally when things dont align with their preferences , thats why mature stories shouldnt be read by folks who cant stomach it. So I guess you just meant it as a good willed warning ?

Btw Kuro no honkai had a pretty realistic conclusion imo which made it good, but it lacked the catharsis for alot of reader who were rooting for the mc.

Yeah it's a good-willed warning, but I don't really like saying things softly (It's a habit built from foruming for more than a decade) hence it sounds forceful.

About KnH,
People might require to read the Kuzu no Honkai epilogue manga, I forgot what it was.
People who technically an anime-only left with a sour taste in their mouth or leave it to their mind ending.

It was quite hard to make a story like Kuzu no Honkai and make it somehow "relatable or realistic",
People may say it wasn't realistic may have no idea how complicated human relationship is and why "Cheating tag" exist.

In the end, people, in general, hated NTR but this manga so far hasn't mentioned anything about it except being so denial like Kuzu no Honkai.
