Kinda funny how the author likes to throw technique-names around, without any context. Like, what's a void step?

I mean... they've used Void Step several times already, it seems to be either another translation of the Cloud Step she learned from the defector, tiger auntie that's part of the black mountain bandits, or the specific name of her derivative of it. It's her move where she steps on nothing/a "void"/the air.

Well, my point was that emphasizing the name of their techniques doesn't really add anything to the reading experience.
All I'm seeing is "fast movement", or "strong punch". The whole gesticulation with the names isn't doing anything for me.

Like, with what are we expected to react here?
"oh wow the cloud / void step??"
Either way, I'm against spelling out these things like comic book SFX.
