Every character besides friend and relative reacts to MC's behavior in an absurd way. I don't know how you could read this and not see the ragebait, even if you liked it. Also know that I'm looking back over it, I think the main problem for me is that the art and dialogue are really bad. Everything has a feeling of incoherence and poor execution. And MC being mentally deficient doesn't help.

So... chapter 15 is... a lot.

The explanation of the metaphysics is messy, even confusing, though I understand enough to follow where it intersects with the main cut and thrust of the narrative.

The reveal of Yuuka having a different but complementary power works fairly well, and explains why she keeps Ayaka so close, it also fleshes out more of how Ayaka's ability functions, even if that... was the bit that kind of lost me, revealing she has untapped capability.

The chapter also has an impressively grim final page, with existential dread a-plenty... and yet all of this just keeps painting Yuuka as Concerning at best and Predatory at worst, to say nothing of the tragedy porn of the accident itself.

I was really enjoying the odd pacing, mysterious atmosphere, and (of course) the yuri.

Now it's all predatory and manipulative. I can't even imagine why Yuuka wouldn't have talked to this young kid to comfort her and help her to understand what she was experiencing.

I'm gobsmacked. Wtf author?

I guess I'll have to wait on more chapters to see, but this type of derailing trends to be a shark jump.
