the dude acting like that even independent of whether she also likes him is annoying as hell, at least going off how dismissive he was when she called him out on it in the first chapter.

Hopefully Tenri likes him for more than just his popularity and looks, I'd hate for Shouko to be into someone so shallow (making assumptions, but).

Good glimpse of their personalities here. I have hope that if Shouko ends up falling for Yukari, we won't be waiting 50+ chapters for a confession. While she is timid with her crush, her assertive personality will probably overcome any shyness due to familiarity and in theory, her already feeling like she missed the boat will be an extra push to not let it happen again.

This is the same author as 2nd Cutest Girl in Class, right? That one had pretty good relationship pacing as far as the manga adaptation (arguably great, at least in my view) - so I feel like they won't go downgrading their writing ability for no reason here.
