I love this one so much.
Ono Rin can draw, certainly--but who knew she could write, and be so adept at blending classical literature into contemporary storytelling like this.
It would seem Yukari can all but confirm Shouko's actual crush, then. And good thing, too, that they're compatible, even! Only now she gets to sit and hold herself back in consoling a crushed Shouko who has just born witness to the object of her love and desire in the arms of another.
I look forward to seeing how Yukari slowly comes out of her shell in her efforts to hold Shouko together. Tachibana's observation of Shouko's recent improvement since Yukari's involvement is telling, as now Shouko is likely to backslide hard--and I foresee her distancing herself from Tenri (and consequently the other two) out of an inability to stomach being around her cousin.
Which, means Yukari will get more time with her. And, since Shouko knows she can be honest and less-guarded with the Bookworm Protagonist, Yukari now gets to endure her own one-sided feelings as she struggles to comfort and console the target of her affections.
It's gonna get messy soon, and I'm here for it. Tenri's gonna be happy, but not understand why her close cousin and partner in Shouko is pulling away. Yukari will suffer under Shouko's misery whole trying to help her. Shouko's friends will possibly be upset at Yukari in a misunderstanding sense, though I'm less certain how they will factor into this new dynamic--Nagi might get confrontational, but Tachibana might be more aware/considerate.
I can't wait for the next chapter, though.
Thanks for all your continued work on this series.
