Look with the friend vs lovers thing for some reason they decided to decide what mode their in with mais hair, which is its own issue cause why? Your giving all this power to your opponent? And of course it leads to Mai abusing this by just not putting her hair up or pulling it down whenever the fuck she wants, she's abusing the fucking system she helped create and I bloody called her out for it early when she abused it to steal a kiss from renako, non consensually naturally, so when their having this talk here renakos pointing out it's not fair cause they weren't friends enough, Mai brushing it off, renako says there's still stuff she wanted to do as friends and mais response is we can do that stuff as lovers and it pisses me off, cause I didnt realize it before but Mai is completely unwilling to compromise, she's some wiggle room cause she does go in as friend willingly sometimes but literally everything else she does is of her own whims, following the moment where they solved nothing she kept her hair down and them in lovers the whole time bro, even if Mai and renako were in a relationship it wouldn't be healthy not just cause Mai boarders rapist but because Mai is so difficult to work with and unwilling to fucking compromise
