Honestly, I'm very confused by Renako, I don't understand what she actually want (just friends or more)??? I'm still holding out hope that Renako is just being bad unintentionally, which ain't that much better but hey, at least she doesn't mean to do so!

It's also why I want Renako to be alone, without ending with anyone, because she doesn't seem mature enough emotionally to be in a relationship right now.

Rena's problem is that she's in denial of what she wants because she feels like she doesn't deserve the things she actually wants.

She wants to be with Rena and with Mai and even with Satsuki, but, in her mind, her group of friends is four beautiful, cute, wonderful girls everyone looks up to and is jealous of and herself. In the novels, she constantly talks up her group while being careful to exclude herself because she doesn't believe she belongs in the group. She sees herself as an intruder into their space, a foreign element who doesn't deserve to be there.

So she wants to be with her friends romantically (because she already has the friendships she's convinced herself she wants), but she thinks she doesn't even deserve to want that, let alone get that, so she spends her time convincing herself that she doesn't want that.

And, in the process, she's also forced to constantly convince herself that her friends also don't want that because why would anyone want that with her of all people? And, if they did that, this would just put her in danger of being kicked out of her group, again.

In her mind, she's in no different of a place than she was in middle school where she's surrounded by 'friends' who secretly hate her and will never speak to her again if she makes even one wrong move. She sees herself as horrible, as a pest, as unworthy, as undeserving, and she cannot even begin to grapple with her sexuality or desires because doing things for herself, having boundaries, having desires, all of these just hurt her (in her mind) which means she can't bring herself to properly make a boundary and say no nor to properly express (or even think about) her desires and say yes, leaving her caught in a trap of her trauma's making, leaving her in a much more delicate position than if she just properly said yes or said no.

She is not even going out with Mai. Even the thing with Satsuki could not be called cheating as she is not in a real relatioship with Mai. The entire "game" between Mai and Renako is that Mai try to get Renako as her girlfriend even if she get rejected constantly.
You cant tell someone he cheated on you just after said person told you "no i'm not going to go out with you".
