When I first read this and few other talk-heavy chapters in this arc, I was hella confused, but now after re-reading, this is the most hilarious development in the most hilarious manga with the most hilarious and adorable characters ever, I heckin love our awkward, low self-esteem, gloomy and kind MC with a backbone Renako, literaly one of my favourite characters in fiction ever. lol

Ya know, the fact earlier her reacted immediately by trying to have herself assaulted so she could understand what renako has gone through, I think Mai may lack basic empathy on top of her other problems

On alot just happened and my mind struggles to keep up, on top of Mai casually claiming renako as here as usual she also acknowledges she's trying to keep want happened before from happening again, good off screen reflection then the photo proof of kissing happens
On one hand hells yeah fuck you mai
On another hand fuck she's really this attached to renako

I- no may, you should absolutely give up in the pursuit of romance when defeated, you can't whine about renako cheating on you(when your not even together yet) then go on about I won't give up that easy, the Implication you'd make renako cheat on deranged-chan, your beyond a bum mai, beyond a bum

Imma be real, it doesn't look like Mai even changed much she's just keeping her deeper impulses more in check... Which is fine I guess, her personality is just so damn frustrating and annoying I don't care as much

Now they're treating renako as a reward and while renako calls them out for this shouting she doesn't want lover what she wants is a friend
Mai proves she's still doesn't understand renakos actually issues and just goes, your scared cause well eventually break up right? Don't worry I'll be with you forever And deranged-chan is just like, me too like bro, has she not explained this to you before? Look at it from her point of view and understand her issues instead of just dismissing them with a you'll fix it, your a dumbass is top of the class

I don't get how deranged-chan and Mai are in the same area of toxic and crossing lines with such bad traits and shit they've done, yet I find Mai so utterly repulsive at every end and deranged-chan the funniest character in this bitch, the math ain't mathin
