It bears repeating -- Mei is a truly vile piece of shit. I seriously wonder why the author felt like anyone who sabotages, gaslights and physically abuses people can be a legitimate "romantic rival". Like, seriously can someone check up on him and see if everything is OK? Either way her opinions on Chiaki's personality or gender identity are completely invalid. And it's gross even now she thinks she's entitled to try and push Chiaki to become a man again like it's any of her business.

I should drop this. I really should. But I didn't drop Oreimo or Eromanga Sensei either. I just can't look away from a car crash like this. I just want to see Chiaki happy and Mei eventually have a complete breakdown, Ace Attorney style. It could in theory happen and it's a theory I want to see tested.
