Was gonna ask you to please god read the past four chapters' threads discussing Claire's reasons for her decision. I myself explained it a few chapters back. For the first time ever she could confirm that her father actually loved her.

More than noble pride, this is her actually being happy to realize that she always had a loving family and not wanting to deny this even in death.

Before for her being a noble was about honoring her father and the citizens that allow her to have a comfortable life, but now its a conection with her father that she doesnt want to lose or denny no matter what.
