The recent trend of victimisation kind of worries me. Both mainstream shounen and shojo are unabashedly creating main characters who are convenient victims but somehow has super power of having good fortunate to eventually get back at their "oppressor". This one, I agree with everyone else, is crazy. How could the author have the conscience to let his or her character to get together with a child who falsely accuse someone of a crime. We shouldn't even have to talk about how adults won't make snap judgement because a kid point finger at someone. It's not that easy to fall victim to false murder accusation. The police will go through the crime scene, check for weapon, investigate the motive behind the crime. Sexual assault might have been easier to falsify because the motive is simple and the victim can speak for themselves. Murder is very different. Just because some kid point the finger at someone after being asked "who enters the room", doesn't mean the police will take the kid action seriously. Come on now, victimisation shouldn't be reaching this level of absurdity. Is there no shame left?
