She's making her daughter live alone, not him.

It's stupid either way considering that if they were to get caught together, ignoring the fact that the entire group isn't that popular yet much less her daughter who she just said doesn't have a future in the idol industry; they could just tell the truth about them being step-siblings. Better yet, how would anyone else know that they're not blood related? They could skip the "step" part and just say they're siblings and it would both be (semi) true and no one would know better.

Contrived ass plot progression, but I'll give it at least a few more chapters before I decide if the series isn't for me.
