I feel so bad to Shiori. she is very conflicted. she know that Hinako become cheerful and energetic this time due to their new oath that Shiori will really eat her, but seeing Hinako being cheerful and energetic is the thing Shiori want to cherish and definitely doesn't want those thing to be disappeared. especially at that very brief moment when Hinako gives Shiori the hairpin, it looks like young Hinako days again.....seriously, this story is so great yet so heavy and gloomy at the same time 😭

Hinako looks oddly calm for a few chaps now... and I feel like she and the others look younger than before but thats probably just an artsyle change...

I feel like page 14 is emblematic of Hinako's selflessness and lack of care for herself.

Also like the moment Hinako is slightly (fake?) happy she looks at shiori like "yeah you got what you wanted, kill me now plz ". But of course even if she was happy it's not the same.

But Hinako really does feel so much better when she thinks shes gonna die its so fucked up.

As a previously suicidal person, I’m feeling a lot of understanding with the character. I’m fine now, but back then at my peak depression, I got really ill but the more sick I felt the more calm I also felt? My stomach pain was so bad, it felt like someone was twisting it. That was the worst pain in my life and lasted several hours, so bad that I couldn’t even get up to get a phone to call for help, but somehow at the time mentally I felt better than when I was physically healthy? When I got better I actually felt somewhat disappointed.

Depression and active suicidal thoughts really screw up a person‘s mental process.
