You do realize there's one other character who's also got a crush on the guy who's also been effectively written out of the main cast due to being in a different class right? Who very likely doesn't know about the whole teacher thing. She appears in that chapter preview too. If anything it would make sense for the school festival for anybody to re-appear because it makes some logical sense for them to show up.
