That was certainly a different view than I was expecting. However, it's also an interesting way to allow multiple PoVs (especially around a minor mob character)...
Though, I guess the game's MC merely simplified their past to him harassing her before the entrance ceremony which is why protag wouldn't know about the mob's past.

Theres 2 ways it goes.

1. She tired of him probably because he thinks because of magic contract he will marry her anyway.

2. He doesn't even know about the contract and the reason as stated in last panel he lusts her and SHE knows that and looks through that lens at him but at a middle point its revealed it was ALL IN HER HEAD. (Disgustedly says "why are you following me at that distance" implying he tried to look under her.... "This is the fastest i can walk up stairs" he never even had that in his mind.)
