I just want to know, how much exactly he has to eat to go back to his tub of lard form? If it is as soon as he eats anything... damn. As a former fatty and current skellington, I feel so bad for him, and his wardrobe situation.

Does this joke about him becoming fat again ever stop? I’m starting the light novel from volume 1. If someone knows, please tell me which volume he stops making this joke.

He now has the flexbile aura he managed to stay in shape for two days, but he could not resist the food at the banket.
It's a plot device to keep him hidden from the third player.

Why? Why? Kunoichi Red is an old pre-Meiji low aristocratic clan, in a world where Japan did not fight the Second World War and all the old structures are still in place.
How would a traditionalist clan have a Versailles-like headquarters? I always imagined them as a mixture of fashionistas (they work in the entertainment media) and traditional geisha.

Yes but the black ships arriving would still be a thing but could have played out differently. As in the modern- and westernization would still happen but the Imperial family could have failed to completely break to power of any old pre-Meiji nobility. Even if World War 2 didn't take place Japan still would have followed the Westernization route they started in the 1870's.

Also, they don't really mention the Imperial family and allude that a group of the most powerful noble clans rule the country. Hence, story wise it is not weird for this world to have a modern day Japan look with Western elements but still retaining Pre Meiji nobility.

I agree I was expecting some strange mix between traditional Japanese castles/palace houses and contemporary western architecture.

I don't see how a replica of a 17th century French palace would fit into the cultural context mentioned in the game. Also knowing that Europe is a ‘hostile/neutral’ religious power.

I want spoilers. Kuga? Said she would expose him if he didnt reveal himself before the end of the competition. Does she commit on that or did Narumi get a pass with the lesser demon thing?

I got to wonder If the MC was inspired by Sakura Hibiki from "Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?" with how both of them are gluttons and become Big Chungus.

Why not? I'd say its more fitting since we know the Japanese nobility has way more power in this universe and might seek to emulate European nobility by using gaudy 17th century French palace designs. The Japanese were (especially post Meiji) picking off the best things European civilization had to offer and implementing them in Japan.

A feast for the stomach as well as the eyes! Those are some lethal weapons I wouldn't mind getting up close and personal with. Now I'm hungry... and a few other things as well...
