i hope the artist, who's not the author, is forced to make MC look this huge. i just cannot take the story seriously with a body this unproportional, moreso when his serious mode actually looks pretty solid.
Even though this little sister interlude is not in the LN, I enjoy this exploration. I really dislike Kano from the LN. Bouta keeps warning her, she ignores it, and puts their life at risk. There's no introspection, and no particular consequence.
Manga is certainly working more on Kano than anyone else. We can see that in the start of the story, when events like when Kaoru would call Souta being relegated to her, while in the novel it was their mother. Same thing for when they found out Kano's boots being slashed. In the novel things were much less dramatic, they handled it much better in the manga for sure.
The interactions between Kano and Risa were also nicer.

literally every change I hear the manga has made sounds like an improvement. I'm not reading the novel because the manga sounds like the better story by a good margin.
Hope the trend continues and the manga stays more focused on the actual story instead of subplots.
