Argh! My appreciation of the story dropped a bit with this chapter (not the art which I still love). The story seems to be running down one of my least liked paths: girl is interested in guy A but meets guy B (a 3rd wheel who happens to be interested in the girl) and has an intimate talk with him about her concerns about her crush instead of talking directly to her crush about it. She is also oblivious to the fact that the 3rd wheel is romantically interested in her.

Tbh honest I don't mind where the story is going, particularly I don't even thing her boss likes her or whatever, they've never been close in the first place so maybe this was just the moment where both had a chance to connect with each other a bit more, and yeah, a realization for him as it was for her.

He said he wasn't the type to hide his feelings so for me it's obvious that he's not feeling attached to her yet, and yeah, ofc we're walking towards the "two male leads who likes her" path now, but that was obvious since the moment we met her boss as a character. One of the main points of the story (if not the most important) is to discover if the first love can bloom again regardless of the situation that made it shattered in the first place or if it's better to move on to a different place where can be born new flowers, hence it's logical to have two love interests.

I do agree the main issue is how dense/naive she is, but that's her character, my wish is that after facing these events face to face she'll mature more, that'd be wholesome. :")

If the team leader isn't intended as a 3rd wheel who has or will fall in love with the female lead, why is he a handsome, elligible bachelor who all the girls drool over? Why not just make him like most of the other team leaders in the world: overweight, not handsome at all, not someone any of the OLs are romantically interested in, married and hen-pecked, crabby and mean? Why? Because he's the requisite love rival without whom there could be no love triangle.
