We need to stop randomly assigned demographic tag without official source confirmation.

like soo many chinese/korean/japanese web series stuff randomly tagged with demographic tag even when the original source didn't mention it. i don't mind if it does officially got tagged later on, but until then, i thinks it's more consistent and more faithful to original source to keep it untagged.

@YumGumYum it's mostly for anyone who can edit manga page series. just need more consistent rules. for example randomly assigned a series as "seinen" just because it has sex even when the original source didn't mention any specific demographic or specifically seinen in this matter. i just want more consistent tagging.

That's heavily depends on your definition of "random". There's many ways to determine demographics.

Edit: but I agree with this. In last 2-3 years I noticed that many publishers stops labeling their work like shounen/seinen or shoujo/josei and move to generic male/female with addition "18+" if applicable. I think MD should switch also.

@YumGumYum even if people don't follow, at least confirmation from mods would made it more clear on what people who want to follow the rules had to do when facing such problem. if you found them, please report them.

@BzzBzz demographic are just label given by publisher. also publisher didn't stop labeling it. it still apply, just the rise of web easy access made demographic line more blurry than ever. yet it always has been blurry since magazine want to attract as much audience as possible no matter demographic it is. but i guess there are should be more than current basic 4 japanese publisher demographic.

tbh i know this problem since i become a group leader. And yeah tbh it is kinda a problem, but not all the people have the same thought as you, you know.^{ppl need more guidance}

Also all of the uploader from a group or power uploader is not always a guy with a translating skill, basically they cannot read a Japanese, Chinese(Mandarin), Korean, etc...

They need to upload something asap and need more guidance about this problem.
