I love how this manga always give me something to stop and think about, I never go read something right after this, I always need a long pause and some pondering

I'm aware. But a lot of people who are very behind Capitalist arguments tend to associate it with the idea of "The American Dream" and the idea that "If you want more in life, you just need to work harder for it." I was just conglomerating them for the sake of that post because Socialism, while it can be associated with meritocracy, tends to be not as... Tightly linked with it as capitalism does.

If i have to say my opinion about this chapter. I am amazed how the author makes it light and heavy at the same time, and none of the words said by the students felt scripted rather it comes from their own souls. I know it felt weird but for some time i forgot they are just characters.

Regarding the content of the chapters i feel like this is how people is, they have a contradiction in their thinking yet at the same time they know both of those things are true. Maybe it just depends on the context though.

The way that these students talk about these kinds of things exactly the way an actual teenager would is super cool. They all make compelling points and do so through the lens of their own life experience. Teach has managed to conduct a super successful debate.

The problem with the author's conception of socialism is the presumption that socialism "failed" on its own. But, democratically-elected, socialist leaders around the world like Salvador Allende in Chile, Patrice Lumumba in Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mohammad Mosaddegh in Iran were all deposed (and in many cased killed) by the CIA and other anti-communists.
