I think a real merit of the series is that the author recognizes common questions and narrative issues one might have while reading the series and actually addresses them. Very pleasant to see them do so and actually tackle them. I have extremely high expectations for this series going forward.

Dang, re-reading this and the Discord exposition made me realize how difficult and confusing of a position Na Kang Lim is being on the receiving end of the affections of so many Heroines.

Conflicted between seeing them as people and as characters that have come to life that you know about really puts a knot in his stomach.
