All her actions make sense considering her circumstances and the fact that she's a 14-16 year old girl undergoing those circumstances.

Have you all ever experienced interacting with a mentally and emotionally disturbed teenage girl? It's not fun at all.

That said, I hope author expands more on it. As it is, it do feel a bit rushed.

Wait why? This makes no sense to me. I know the girl has something wrong with her, but why die?

Because when you've embraced the darkness so much and sullied yourself to destroy something. But instead you become just that. Then up until that point everything was a failure. Your whole life you lived was just darkness. As it is so pitch black you see no option for light to enter. So you just end it instead.
Obviously I understand that's wrong. But different people suffering through trauma handle trauma differently. So it is "understandable"
