Hol’ up. Didn’t Kang Lim say a few chapters ago that the broker was never caught in ESW bc he likely fled overseas? So how was there a similar situation in the WC for him to pull from? I just read it like an hour ago, but am I still misremembering?

It’s possible he still managed to escape and flee after the fight. Though yes it’s probably a plot hole more likely. But technically not one

I wonder if the author is just going to brush it off or will we actually see the lingering impact of this arc in the later arcs, because dying that many times, facing a seemingly impossible enemy can't be good for your mental state.

I think he is kind of hinting at it when he me tons the lingering nightmares. Maybe it's something that's going to build up down the line.

It probably is this. With how the protagonist in the webtoon is described, he's a very "action-oriented" character so there's probably a lot of fight scenes.
