Yeah honestly it's currently in the 120s last I checked so am I going to pay to stay up to date for a few months till they catch up? Chances are they'll always keep a few chapters up on patreon so they can keep people coming to it over time. Doing this just for the fan translations and not getting anything going to the author feels iffy.

It's one thing to support but basically dangling the chapters would just push me to official means to support instead. I don't mind if people hold updates for their own site/discord or something since they're still public, patreon walled translations are a mess. I'd actually rather pay someone to snipe the series instead out of sheer spite.

Yeah honestly it's currently in the 120s last I checked so am I going to pay to stay up to date for a few months till they catch up? Chances are they'll always keep a few chapters up on patreon so they can keep people coming to it over time. Doing this just for the fan translations and not getting anything going to the author feels iffy.

I did say multiple times on our Discord (if ppl would stay active) that we don't intend to keep up Patreon once we caught up though. Once we catch up the Patreon will be stopped and the currently active ones will keep receiving regular updates for free on our Discord (they get an invite and a separate role after subbing) meanwhile we keep releasing publicly the same way.
It's not like we force others to join, the possibility is there, that's it.

By the way it probably won't take that much time to catch up, at most 2 months. Don't forget we started translating early August and during that time we finished 70+ chapters that's not even bad quality. We update the Patreon every 2 days without missing a day.

Also I'd just add, these are not just 1-2 hours of work to finish, but multiple hours all day/every day, so we wanted to add an option that helps us keep up the work that goes into this and give a benefit of early chapters to people who support us, but it'll all become public, if you don't like it, you can just wait.

So yeah, in the end you can think what you want and I agree with what you said about supporting the authors / using official means, but honestly, even I have no idea how am I supposed to do that. The only thing I can do is keep up the traffic on Naver's site by putting the QR code in the first page.

Apologies from me, I started reading this about a week ago so I've not touched your discord or seen you post in prior threads (if you have) since I've only checked the last few. I assumed this was similar to perverted scanner or someone similar who picks up series based on donations and mass releases and will sometimes vanish once whoever they sniped returns. Reading my post back after your response makes me sound quite ungrateful, thanks for the translations and thanks for letting them go free as well.

If you're looking to catch up and be caught up then my main complaint is pretty much non existent, I've not even opened the patreon page to check what it says so I've really just been painting you with the brush of the other groups that tend to snipe dormant or slow series, sorry again. I thought the series was being maintained over time with a bulk of the chapters on patreon and not that you'd only recently picked it up which is why there's a huge gap in chapters.

I can tell from the text outside of panels being translated alone a lot of effort goes into these, not to mention the quality of the translations has been consistently high as well. Thanks again and I'll try not to be a judgemental prick in future.

Aww that was the nicest response, sorry I am still in the mindset that every current reader started when we picked up the manhwa and were old readers waiting for a chapter and knew about the circumstances (1ch every few weeks or even months smh).
The previous group dropped it and we were also fans of it so decided to translate it. This is our first time ever doing this and we're not even a proper group, I just named it as a group for fun. (You can compare how much I improved by checking ch31, the very first time I started typesetting/translating and the current one). Ever since then we're doing these every day whenever we have free time in order to catch up as fast as possible. Honestly we'd have caught up already if not for the speech bubbles becoming transparent since ch69 or something, so we had to slow down a bit. (though I still want to put out quality work, which, is a small spoiler, but it shows in later chapters where every SFX is properly cleaned and typesetted).
And also it's my bad I wasn't being straight, on our Discord I mentioned a few times but never actually put a statement anywhere, but I'll probably do so now! Thank you!
