@Siikalahna like other comment says, the mission is to rescue the beast-kid, and that kid got slave shackles on him, only the owner can release it, aiming to kill all of them just backfired since he wouldn't know who the master is, and one of them can get away since all of them scattered on every buildings, so he become bait and lure every bandits that hiding on every buildings, now he know the leader and the master of beast kid, and all bandits come out from their hiding spot...

salt, while extremely painful in a wound, IS actually a way to help seal up injuries. it dries wounds out, draining excess fluid which allows platelets to start clotting more easily. it's also absolutely horrific for something the size of an amputation.
