Wasn't one of the rules "Don't carelessly reach out and touch the roses"? Oop.

There was also a rule that if you had a red rose in your room, you needed to put it by your pillow before you slept. It seemed like they were building towards the twins finally getting one over on her and getting her to break the rule about bringing a rose to your room, but then that other rule didn't come into play at all.

Kinda feels like even the author forgot, but maybe it comes up again later.
