I still dont get her goal. Can someone help?
I know I'm a year late, but trying to wrap my head around this myself...

She wanted to become happy, feel the highest height of happiness, for the point of then immediately feeling the decline — like a broken heart — for the purpose of recovering, becoming stronger in the end.

And, her whole motive, I assume, is because she saw her parents not love each other mutually, that having disturbed her in some way early on. Then, she saw how Church requests that the followers pray for mercy and redemption; but, Misaki had a classic reddit moment "If God real, why bad thing happen?" That bad thing being her parents marriage, yet lack of mutual love.

So, in Misaki's mind, if she obtained love, and then destroyed that love: she would become stronger than her mother who continued to love Misaki's father, despite her father's lack of love for Misaki's mother. This one-sided romance, I suppose, Misaki viewed as an injustice & weakness, that was determined by God; if she can destroy her love for Satou: she can do what her mother couldn't. I guess that got internalised into rebelling against God.

But, here, in the end, she couldn't destroy her love for Satou — hence, she fetched the ring after throwing it out. Feeling guilt, she's been wallowing in her own pity in the attic.
