The part where the old lady told Ryuu about whats important in cooking specifically the "Its not easy to make a dish that satisfies everyone to the same degree" is something that im kinda ticked off in some cooking stories.
When its fantasy and then the mc just make human food that could satisfy every foreign races like its nothing makes no good sense for me. As if earth/their country cuisine is the number 1 cuisine in all existences. Not only does it not make sense for fantasy races, it also doesnt make sense for people who just arnt familiar with the cuisine or the taste itself.
Coffee in a fantasy setting that doesnt have anything similar to coffee? it would at least take some time for them to start liking the bitter taste. Msg? they might even think that the strong taste is overbearing. How about racial allergies? Beastmen probably would hate how garlic smell lingers.
