Honestly though the MC is not likeable, she literally escaped and never bothered to listen to his side of the story. He's her lover for god's sake, and there's not even a little bit amount of trust between them it's laughable.

Is saying “I don’t care about who you used to be” really that romantic? This line pops up in a lot of romance stories. Wouldn’t it be better to say “I accept all of you” or “I love every version of you” or something like that? Rather than writing off most of her life?
After all, Wendy is only who she is now because of who she was as Olivia. So if you love Wendy then you should be thanking Olivia.
