Sausage is a highly underrated meat delivery method. I decided to be lazy this week, so dinner has been bratwurst. Here in the American Midwest, these are an art form - you can get brats with cheese, hot peppers, various non-standard meats (bacon!), pineapple (?).... I saw mac & cheese brats and potato brats in the cooler, both of which are a bit farther than I want to go, but the willingness to experiment is something. And that's without touching on the excellent local Italian sausage, breakfast sausage in all its forms, andouille, salami....

There's a lot to explore in sausage-land WELL THIS TOOK A TURN.
