That, and monster biology, for all intents and purposes, is not the same as human biology. There's no guarantee that a shot to the chest area will do the same thing to Opher as it would a human (and I forget if the material even works on monsters the same way. Like, Hoss's sword could of been a godweapon then).

My prediction is that she's going to use it as a way to weaken herself before sex.
