@The_RQTech its a japanese-translated-to-english smartphone so yes japanese smartphone keyboards are quite different

@The_RQTech Japanese language input uses that layout because most kana are just a combination of a consonant and the usual five vowels. So rather than laying them all out in a keyboard you can just group them by the consonant they have in common.
