To be honest, I think that the red string is mostly just a metaphor for being “concerned with the concept of fate”. Fuji was concerned with it in the beginning because he wanted Yuka to see him as her fated partner, but after he willfully chose to put it out of his mind (untying the string) it disappeared for him. Now, Yuka lost the string when she decided that she didn’t give a damn what Fate said, and that she was going to pursue Fuji no matter what.

Thanks for the update! I was hoping that we'd get the last 2 chapters updated at once and just be able to finish the entire series finally.
