its always fantasy since those genre have so much branch variation and have biggest fan base...
almost every generation of manga have popular fantasy manga/anime
from magic knight rayearth, seint seiya, sailor moon, dragon ball, one piece, naruto, demon slayer, AOT, solo leveling, and many more (my hand will break if i mention every popular fantasy each generation...lol)

fantasy include

• isekai (summoned, reincarnate, enter game/novel world, and so on)
• modern portal, dungeon, tower, and so on
• martial art/murim universe with qi and cultivation
• alien, robot, scifi, zombie, and so on
• pure fantasy like one piece, dragon ball, seint seiya, naruto, doraemon, medieval fantasy with magic, and so on
• and many more

you can put almost any genre to fantasy, romance-fantasy, action/adventure fantasy, horor-fantasy, slice of life-fantasy, even hentai-fantasy

if you ask random weeb what their favorit manga/anime, all the answer almost manga/anime with fantasy genre (whatever the fantasy branch is)
