She's always been a bit of a dumbass, so I don't know why everyone's suddenly pointing it out. But she's so cute and funny idk to be honest lol
And no she's not on Bakarina's level, don't even compare them. Bakarina's so dumb she's the absolute dumbest a heroine can get before it stops being tolerable.
The scale goes, Too stupid to read about--Bakarina--She cute. Erin has to get a lot dumber to reach her level.

I miss the doting lex but seems like they are getting integrated, like the magic doesn't work on him because he is already in love

Honestly, I'd be trying to run away. If Duke finds out she's trying to cast a spell on him, I don't think he'll be too happy.

Why in the world did the guards okay with her being alone in the boat...shouldn't they at least be in another boat...a bit further but a safe distance for a quick rescue...or at worst at the lakeshore...where are they?!

As a lifeguard, people going out onto the water when they don't know how to swim really annoys me.
But to be fair, what someone else said about her clothes is probably true. I don't think I could swim in that outfit. Though she probably could still stay afloat.

Also, getting more of the duke's perspective is really interesting. I've been waiting to get inside his head again. His inner turmoil is about what I expected, but seeing him be more and more conflicted over treating her poorly and/or upsetting her is really interesting to watch. And, as others pointed out, he's slowly becoming more caring as well.

It was also nice to see Erin finally begin to accept them as the same person. Her continued fixation on a single (exaggerated) facet of his personality is unhealthy for both of them.
