Really hope this can end with her actually taking the crown instead of that prince, he's the type of person you don't want ruling an empire :/

Also, early assumptions but
the guy who never fully got a description, Daniel(?), is ml. and him being the last royal of the other family, though potentially controversial, makes him a good fit as a prospective prince consort/emperor. There's already signs of it, but fl is gonna be able to turn her image around and people will like her better than the moody crown prince. So unless she goes the route of really not wanting to be empress, I really can see her being leader instead.

And of course these are all just guesses, as the only spoilers I've seen are a little on the book heroine's true personality. This all might just be the obvious things too, but I still wanted to say something since I find it fun lol also, hope I'm right since I already really don't like the crown prince even though he's had yet to actually appear lol

Fuck, I don't know why these misunderstanding type stories always get me. Cale Henituse from Trash of the Coun'ts family (novel, not the manhwa), Harold Stokes from My Death Flags Show no sign of Ending, among others--really left an impact on me. Glad I found this one, hope it keeps up these vibes!

@Jeikob On one side, they provide some high-quality comedy from the disparity between the main character's thoughts and everyone else's perception. Having these kinds of misunderstanding also serves as exposition for the other characters. Often times we dislike a story because someone's behaviour seems illogical, maybe even stupid, even though they aren't. Rather, because of our own personalities or the narrative perspective, we overlook certain elements that bring forth a very human explanation, born from the oftentimes irrational nature of the human psyche and defensive mechanisms.

In fact, I suspect these mechanisms are the main reason for their allure. The Trash of the Count's Family is so fantastic because the misunderstandings are to be honest more than in line with the world and the protagonist's feelings. Cale acts like he doesn't care, and thinks like it, but we know deep inside he truly wants to protect the people around him, which is the way everyone else thinks of him. Thus, it points to his unreliability as a narrator and brings extra depth to the story, while on some level reassuring us that we may be like that in some way, and even through our coping mechanisms other's might perceive us how we wish we could be.
