I really like this chapter because it just lays bare even moreso than the previous chapters that Hesha is belittled and looked down on by EVERYONE in her life.
Her father decided very early on that she wasn't fit for anything other than being a pretty face and so she grew up to be little more, the prince looks down on her for being uneducated and frivolous and while he can't know why she's like that,it's not like she's like this because she chose to just be a bimbo. In addition even Qiao Lin who knows more about her than most looks down on the lady who gave up on studying and went right back to flirting with the prince after (from her perspective) barely even trying.
The end of this chapter then is great, because while Qiao Lin still doesn't know that Hesha is acting like this because she's been given an ultimatum where studying and slowly building herself up over time stopped being an option. She still gives the correct advice, Hesha needs to say no to this engagement and marriage. Because what Hesha needs more than anything else right now is time.
Because there is no building yourself up, growing as a person, or getting people to start seeing you as an accomplished talented woman if you don't have the time to do that building. And Hesha due to her father is only starting now years, if not a decade after most people started.
