Are we forgetting that Hesha bullied Jolene relentlessly? She got her fired from every job in the city and then made her homeless. Now they've got a very sweet relationship despite it having toxic foundations.

I think that Irene and Faye will have a similar relationship. It is just more unknown if Kelly will be able to enter into a relationship with Diana.

With Hesha and Jolene we were more caught up on everything that was going on with Hesha, it was much clearer that she was actually gradually improving, and Jolene always fought back too.

With Irene and Faye though, it just seems like shes constantly manipulating her, and maybe I havent read into it enough but it doesnt seem like she has any intentions of improving, and Faye has just been a victim the whole time

Maybe some time in the future some thing could happen and it would turn the whole deal they have into something more like Hesha and Jolene but I doubt it

Irene's manipulations weren't entirely unjustified though, as she was making Faye aware that her romantic pursuit of Prince Dana would have just resulted in her being kept in a gilded cage and she would have had to engage in immoral acts to keep that position.

It was cruel but now Faye is actually thinking about her own desires instead of simply walking down a path chosen by her (something her own mother regrets). Irene is just enabling those ambitions similar to how Hesha and Jolene started their own business. If the pair work together then they could become very powerful and bring about change that will ensure that others don't have to endure the same struggles.
