I was so sad when I saw you got banned on bato :/ Part of me hopes you keep going, but really do what's best for you. Thank you for all your hard work, truly.

I'm unsure if Japanese homes normally have locks for their bathrooms (in contrast with their WCs)-- their personal rooms (in)famously tend not to.

I'm surprised bato.to is both still a thing and also larger than MangaDex. I've used it here and there, but I could have sworn that there was a time when it was less cluttered and less archaic than it currently is.

Thanks for the chapter, man! I wish I could help with the bato(.)to situation. Tried to message you here on mangadex but could not find where? (I may be stupid), i'ts a bummer you got banned. I really like this series, it's sweet. The other one, "...Captives of My Sister", you are translating is also pretty good so thanks for the tip! I hope for the best for ya!

The new website is actually not ran by the same people as the old one. They simply took over the name without as much as asking.
But yes, MangaDex became a shell of it's former self after the Hombre-incident. I suspect that the reason they haven't brought back chapter view count yet, which is very easy to show, is to hide how much less traffic there is nowadays
Bato.to has many mirrors, and the two most popular mirrors alone both each have far more traffic than Mangadex. Other websites such as Mangago or Mangakakalot also have about five times the traffic as Mangadex has if similarweb is to be believed. I distinctly remember Mangadex being far more active before the incident though it's come back to some degree since comments were back but many titles that are on Bato.to aren't even on Mangadex because people don't upload here any more.

It also runs ads; I know many dislike that but it's what pays developers to implement features. It, like Mangago has all sorts of nice features like public lists, being able to make photo alba of specific pages that themselves can start comment threads, better recommendation systems based on what others have read, inline comments and all sorts of things that Mangadex lacks.

That would be another reason; it has personal messages. It feels weird that they deleted all of my uploads over it and there's no method to contact people to inform them of what happened. It's honestly somewhat frustrating. Some people are asking why all the uploads are taken down but they can't be reached.

Captives of my Sister is indirectly why I was banned by the way. Someone asked for something similar to that title and I posted a link to nhentai, which apparently in their eyes was “child pornography” which led to me being banned and all my uploads removed, but the strange thing is that the relevant comment is still there and accessible through my profile. It's actually possible to navigate to any title I once uploaded which now has all of it's chapters removed, visit my profile, visit “comments” and find the last comment I made that caused me to be banned for being “child pornography”, but not access any of my uploads which apparently are not “child pornography”. Many of these titles had 5k+ followers and some had 15k+ so it feels strange to me that they'd rather than delete the actual comment delete all of those uploads, but it is what it is.

That sucks! Sounds like outright admin abuse. To think they'd ban you over that...it's ridiculous, I have seen a lot of similar-looking content on bato.to and similar sites. Hell, isn't Super Lovers there? is the only difference it being explicit lmao?? I am mad on your behalf

More so not caring.
It's one of those websites whose moderators don't actually seem to use the website any more and simply treat it as a way to make money now, which became obvious to me when talking to them that they don't know what goes on and what is normal so sometimes they get a report and they act on it. They have a rule against “child pornography” but they don't define what it is and it only applies to posting comics, not comments. I initially, like anyone else reading that rule thought that would obviously mean the legal definition of child pornography, but Teacher Addiction actually once got banned there for that, so I talked to them and they explained they got a report and banned it but didn't closely read it and re-instated it after they found out it did not have sex scenes in it. Then I asked what exactly their definition of child pornography was, and then they said characters under 18 in explicit sex scenes. Then I pointed out that that must be 20% of the titles on their website and the way I talked to them it felt like they never realized that their website was full of stories of teenage characters having sex with each other and that they didn't really browse it, so then they, on the fly, changed their definition to explicit definitions of illegal sex acts so that it wouldn't apply to teenagers with each other, but it was really a conversation that implied they never gave their “child pornography” rule any thought before. They simply put it in there but never considered what it actually would mean. But that all applied to submissions, not to comments, comments have entirely different rules which don't include this.

In any case, I wasn't banned for Captives of my Sister, which was within the rules as they all attend the same high school so it's fine. I was banned for a comment on that page which linked to nhentai.com, which was apparently not, but I've seen such comments there all the time, and again, the type of thing I linked to can be found on that website too, and the paradox is that they removed all my uploads, but the original comment can still be found. If they thought that comment was so problematic, perhaps they should have removed that.

It happens sometimes; I've seen it before: admins who are completely detached from their own website, have extremely vague rules and someone gets banned for things that happen all the time on the website which users think are within the rules because they see everyone do it, but the one that gets reported or happens to catch the eye of a moderator is banned and no one knows what's allowed because the rules are extremely vague.

Man, pretty sure the only reason she ain't getting raped right now is his spindly little arms not being up to the task of holding her down... So yeah lock the door.
