MangaDex can't become Crunchyroll without being absorbed by it or vice versa cuz they're two different things and there are some things which prevent them from being similar. Wish I could change this orange colour...

What kind of country wants to nationalize MangaDex? It's kinda interesting to think about lol. Imagine you see MangaDex in this list.

I think it's unlikely, but not impossible.

The most important thing that keeps MangaDex going is the scanlations. If MangaDex "goes corporate," we would have to wait for official translations and releases of the chapters, a process that is painfully slow, and not every series has this privilege. Of course, we'd also have to pay for them.

My guess is that it will continue to be a piracy site, but it will try to be smart in order to survive and not get completely shut down like a lot of other aggregators.
