The engraving style of the art is absolutely masterful. It's the exact style that I've never been able to get anywhere with, much less master. For anyone who doesn't understand what I mean, see Albrecht Durer.

Thanks for keeping up with the translations, I half-expected it to be dropped after getting licensed here in the west. Much appreciated!

the art style makes this feel sooo "melancholic"?, i'm not sure if that's the right word i'm looking for.

Also, i'm kind of rooting for the "bad guys":
The brimhats ARE right, even if their methods are somewhat bad, you had an era of incredible world-changing magic and advancements, then comes 3 terrorists that decide for themselves that the world needs no freely available magic and wipe the world's memory, ¡hell they even say it was "a conspiracy"! now you have an institution made by those terrorists that defend their retrograde ideas and banned all the good magic: you have no more medical magic(so they condemned untold people to die of diseases that could be cured by magic alone plus all the other one that suffer with deformity and whatnot), no more world-changing advanced magic, everything that looks like it could make a truly good impact is "forbidden" and they enforce this unlawfully by strong-arming everyone into compliance.

That's pretty much the definition of an authoritarian regime.

the terrorists by themselves and their arbitrary rules erased untold centuries of magic knowledge and sent magitech back to the stone age and only allowed for trivialities, essentially turning magicians into parlor-trick clowns.

It's like having a super advanced civilization, then comes 3 clowns that decide that "advance bad hurr durrr we'll decide for humanity!" and single-handedly destroy all the advancement and send everything to the medieval age

@Eliminateur I think it's the right word. This manga is a good example of 'mono no aware' ideal, which means being aware of impermanence, that can make you melancholic.

Does anyone know if the scanlation group died along their website?
Did they moved to other place?
Did they had a twitter account?

Every panel drops my jaw as usual..... I refuse to believe Quifrey is manipulating Coco! The Archmage wouldn’t send him after her if he really thought Q was a traitor.

shirahama kamome is one of the most talented freakin manga artists i've ever seen man the panelling is bloody creative, poses are so dynamic, expressions are really nuanced and backgrounds so fonkin DETAILED like JEEZ save some talent for the rest of us😭😭😭 i wish this manga were more popular - the story is amazing, and the characters are so real and fleshed out, the world is wonderfully built and the art is just. heartbreakingly beautiful and pure magic

I wish I had noticed the update frequency befoe reading this. It's obviously not a weekly manga, just look at the art, but this story is so interesting, I wished I'd discovered it after it was completed lol
