This kid really is something. Cathié probably knows something about Quovelta, and if her statements about her memory are to be trusted, she could be a valuable witness against them.

Also, both Nona and Miramira are projecting onto this kid hard. For good reason, or course: Cathié unavoidably reminds them of how much they have changed since being separated from their families, but also how much they have matured because of their experiences. Nona's relationship with her mom has been on her mind all this time. Meanwhile, Miramira has learned a lot from Nona: she has become both more confident and willing to form bonds with others. As she said: "there are things you only notice when you have someone to play with, right? That's how it was for me."

I wonder what Nona and Miramira will do now that the Bureau has come to take Cathié away. In this situation, what exactly should they do? No; what exactly can they even do? I suppose we will see in a few weeks.
