By making it clear to Little Sister San that she is not keeping anyone apart. Akebi is an adult. Having a roommate or girlfriend or boyfriend is not "keeping her mother away." It's just normal life. Her mom can come over. I mean they're literally close now only because of her and are currently at a picnic because of her. I'm a bit confused why she would even go to this idea.
