We have to have the horrible "No communication" trope becuase otherwise we can't stretch out the chapters. I feel like this series should end at about volume 3 with all the wheel spin removed. Has been a decent series until this point though so I hope this isn't a sign of it going trash.

Little sister did say that she doesn’t believe Akebi would tell her outright if she wanted her away. Akebi is also so nice, which makes it hard to say if she’s doing it because she’s nice or because she wants it, so little sister feels like she can’t trust whatever Akebi says. Little sister also seems insecure to some commitment, it’s not like she’s experienced with this consider how the people going after her have been.
Hopefully next chapter will make it clear with Akebi taking care of her.
