Though I must say, I postponed my comment thinking it would get better but no. I’m getting annoyed on how the son is treated by both the parents and his sister. Easily teased, weak, don’t have much saying on anything; now his sister… maybe it’s a cultural thing, idk. I initially thought it would be a short gag but the author really dragged it out; not my cup of tea. Also on that I might get hated for saying it but I preferred when the story was only about Xu Qing and Jiang He.

That's because when the story surrounding Xu Qing and Jiang He was the main intended plot from the author. All these chapters since are adapted from the novel extras. The main story has already ended, but not having the same mindset shift clearly signaled in the manhua understandably induces your opinion.
