CLAUDE HAS SOME NICE ASS
the novel is realy good, but the manhwa sadly isn't the best representationnot sure why everyone is saying its really good, I read up to chapter like 50 or so a while back and this has some of the stupidest writing that directly contradicts itself and most of the story takes place in all of the character's asides to themselves??? literal slop.
I'd say coincidence. When you have a setting with a history of several long lived races, you're kind of limited to all of them having their own time in the sun, them taking turns on who rules, or them scatterring and ruling their own section of the setting's word separate from each other. Dungeons and dragons does something similar with gods, dragons, giants, various aberration races, and all of them thinking they came first and everyone else being false usurpers, but none of them seeming to be the ones who ruled at the same time. The Dark Souls franchise is another example with the age of dragons giving way to the age of fire, then the age of dark, and at some point in the future age of the deep is foretold. Hell it even happens in history as the king of the hill of a respective region changes from the stone age to the bronze age to the iron age.I recently found a 2010 Anime called 'Tears to Tiara', with a somewhat similar creation myth.
TtT: There was an Age of Gold, an Age of Silver, an Age of Bronze, an Age of Dragons, an Age of Giants, an Age of Elves, and the current Age of Humans.
IRNtDGL: Azure was created by 4 primordial witches (one of whom is named Silver), there was a Primordial Age rules by Dragons, a First Age rules by Giants, a Second Age rules by Elves, and the current Third Age rules by Humans.
Coincidince, derivative, or not really that similar?
