@seirio: first of all please don't be offensive to asexual people, when I said disturbing I personally didn't call people's
existence disturbing (and debatable irl statistics about people sexuality in a manga with a ghost and a cat doing impossible things is a little...). Two, I'm myself bi and a big romantic who live on fics/DJs of my favorite ships, so let's just say that I understand the feeling of wanting to ship characters one likes.
But here it's just really sad to see such a push for heteronormativity ("Kyuu-chan needs a mom", "make her your wife" or whatever), when the character just
right here said that her old friends were super onto getting a boyfriend and admiring cute boys on tv and she was more interested on other things ; it's sad because Hinata seems to agree, looking happy with just his pet in his life, and talking with some friends once in a while, and there is nothing wrong with that, but you guys are acting like he (and any people who have no intention on getting ever married) lack something, as if their preference for a single life is wrong/anormal...
Basically I agree with
@Choco_Pudding, all the characters have such nice friendships going on, and the call for coupling just every time he interacts with a woman really make it seems like frienship is less/not enough, and it's both sad and not very fitting to this lovely manga which is mostly focused on the friendship of a human and a magic cat.
@DekuDiamond:
don't you know? Men and women can't just be friends!
Right! Why do I keep forgetting, always hoping there would be mutual respect and equality between sexes, or that female characters not be threated as only there to be love interests, silly me.
