This is fuckin' DUMBBBB.
MC has to be the craziest simp that's ever existed considering that one; during his and the Princesses first meeting she outwardly tried to arrest him for nothing and the stupid fuck WENT BACK to see her the next day, and two; him getting up close and personal to a girl he's met THREE TIMES.
The first was, like I mentioned, him getting the shit beat out of him for being with the Doctor, the second was her getting him to become a soldier for the kingdom—which he had no obligation to do, at all. Given their first interaction, he should've seen how fucking unhinged they all were and fucked off that day. And now—where she ran out of the castle because... she was angry MC didn't want to tell her about how he mascaraed half a dozen people?
There's being a fucking dumbass, and there's whatever's going on here. Why does he tolerate, let alone actually enjoy the company of anybody he's encountered so far? They've all either scorned him out of fear (for his appearance) or wanted to manipulate him for their own selfish purposes.
At this point, maybe the "calamity" is just this fucked up ménage of greedy narcissists clawing at a guy with power?
