powerless people used to be on top afterall since they had the only buff. The divine artists however changed that and put themselves on top and "demonized" the enemy as always happens. Calling them powerless keeps them from using what power they have and gives reason for the discrimination in peoples minds. There is a clear difference between physical power and magical power like what the artists have.

Also a servant class with superior physical ability is just perfect! They make great workers as we have seen.

Human nature did the rest.

As they are on his own team, he can't just slaughter them. Well, he could I guess, but that would be bad for his image. -_- But they are rapists. He can customize everything in world, so he should customize their dicks. Just next time he gives them a slap on the shoulder or shake their hands, he could do something with their brains. Subconsciously traumatize them or some shit. Just enough to let them stay limb, if they touch a woman and she says no. And as a bonus stays limb in half of the cases, even if she wants. As a guy I gotta say I'm quite inhuman on them, but ... naaaahhh. They deserve it.

@Yautja You're applying modern norms and morals to a medieval society. We're obviously still meant to dislike the guy, but that sort of thing was very common in medieval times. Also, remember he doesn't really know Yuusuke and the common attitude is for Divine Artists to look down on powerless people and use them as slaves/servants. From that POV it makes sense he might assume she was merely brought along as a wench. Japan during the Tokugawa period for example, had brothels/geisha and a custom of fooling around with teen boys called Shudo as well.

@gaigous Because they had the elements to rely on, the divine artists never bothered to refine their martial skills to any appreciable degree. Seeing just what a person is capable of with proper training is indeed eye-opening to them. Especially in a situation where their divine arts won't work properly and they fear Shinha will figure out how to train them later.

@Aereus Oh my god, why is everyone here so in love with CQC? There's only so much time an individual can devote to a particular art, and if someone is born gifted with a divine art, they will naturally spend all their time honing it, yes it's normal to be surprised at your enemies capabilities when seeing them for the first time, no it's not some silver bullet to the divine artists, they would be forced to adapt their tactics to fighting armies of enhanced physical combatants, war isn't a static thing, it's constantly evolving.

You know when you think about it, there are normal people in this world, since the Divine Artists tend to be nobles of some kind, even if extremely minor (unless they have special circumstances like Ifoca). The normies would then be the weak divine artists, who can't use their elements for shit, but still aren't Powerless, like these mercenaries.

Also @gaigous You also need to calm down. I was just pointing out in their world they aren't used to seeing/dealing with highly trained powerless people. So seeing someone decimate one of those based on brute strength alone would be intimidating.

Since he was making chairs, after their mission is over, I think he should give them a brand new set of chairs as a parting gift...ones that are Made-In-China quality with exploding seats that would send shrapnel into their anuses causing internal organ damage. Specially "customized" chairs that rape the rapists. Otherwise, I'd customize some fruits for them that make them sweeter...and also makes their dicks and balls fall off they shriveled up like raisins--a reverse Viagra of sorts, essentially becoming eunuchs. I'd also settle for something else that would make them permanently impotent.
