Gee, I don't know, spread a rumor that the group against Yuusuke is trying to cause a civil war and to cause more misery to common people, trial them for treason and conspiracy and execute them. That will work without a problem. After all, you can pull in an example from neighboring countries from a very recent past to make it more convincing. And seeing how easily people seem to believe baseless rumors in that place, why wouldn't they believe that, when it's not baseless? Oh, right, can't do that, because then authors' stupid plot won't happen.

Yuuseke is such a pussy everything thing would be so much easier if he just resigned himself to having to destroy that anti darkgod faction. But hes too soft too nut up and spill some noble blood. It wouldn't b too hard to find out who everyone in that faction was and lop all their heads off one by one. Like his inaction is obviously gonna lead to a problem blown way out of proportion and possibly a civil war. Which will result in someone he cares about getting hurt or killed.

@Kayriel The king gives an impression of a man who inherited the crown against his will. So, he's trying to avoid all trouble and hard decisions as much as possible. Of course that only leads to more trouble because it's not how an autocracy can work. Yuusuke was quite a blessing for the king, for a while at least, because he could solve a bunch of problems without any complications. But now that Yuusuke became the center of new trouble, the king's really hating it. Too bad the princess is still too young to take the throne. I bet she would be a better ruler.

I completely agree with your assessment. He acts like he either doesn't understand what being an autocrat means, or that he doesn't even want the crown.

Any level of plotting against the Crown can easily lead to plotting to usurp the Crown, and needs to be quashed, regardless of what the traitors whine about. It's simple enough to expose their plots, and if absolutely necessary, doctor the truth just a tad to solidify their public image for what it is: People who've been harming the kingdom for ages.

Their belief in pedigree > talent/skill has caused their nation to decline horrendously. Yuusuke has practically single-handedly saved them all, both literally and on a national scale. Just need to do a little housecleaning at this point, either by removing these scheming nobles and replacing them with someone who is in the King's pocket in their houses, or if their House backs said traitorous nobles, disbanding the House altogether and bequeathing all titles and wealth of that House upon a new family, one loyal to the Crown.

Always, always consolidate your power. Princess would definitely make a better ruler with some experience and tempering.

Yep. I dropped that series too, but more so because the MC was just aweful and just the stupid amount of cliche character troupes used. Not everyone has to fit a template.

If Noble's succeed in having Yuusuke relieved of duty, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind so long as he isn't sent to prison.

He'd just join the merchant class and crush them all economically, either by inventions or upgrading money.

Seems being a magical craftsman is the best way to unbalance a world, videogame or tabletop.

A good portion of the problems in this Manga wouldn't happen if MC was ruthless. Just killing the 3 nobles would probably save tons of bloodshed down the line, but MC is building toy cars.

Fight fire with fire. He already knows who the anti-god people are, and even if he didn’t, he can just as easily spread his own rumors that the ruling nobles are plotting to overthrow the kingdom, raise their taxes, or something along those lines, then send the Spanish Inquisition on them.

I like that the king isn't an idiot or clueless, just trying to navigate a horrifically complex situation. The political intrigue is great but I do wish our MC spent more time building the world with his abilities. We are 70 chapters in and he can make street lights, bikes, and steam engines. Roland Wimbledon (release that witch!) does more and he doesn't have anything more than his career, university education, and very staunch authoritarian socialism (ha)

Killing the nobles that oppose him would prove Yuusuke is evil, turn doubtful people against him and judge his actions by allies. Need solid proof, not just rumours.

Killing a noble isn't beneficial, they have assets not necessarily in open sight and connections, they also maintain things through their rule. Sure one might confiscate their official riches, for greater good, but that wouldn't even cover the burial fees.
